Geberit is a global supplier of sanitary technology. The company is the world market leader in sanitary technology, but continues to generate the majority of its sales in Europe. However, management has repeated several times in the past to reduce this dependence on Europe. Despite this, it has a global presence and is active specifically in the areas of water disposal systems, piping systems, domestic drainage systems, flushing systems and installation systems. In February 2016, Geberit completed the acquisition of the Finnish sanitary ceramics producer Sanitec. The acquisition was aimed at establishing a stronger presence in the bathroom equipment sector and expanding the product range with bathroom fixtures / bathroom ceramics. Currently, the company is active in about 50 countries, including several African countries. Taking into account the still deficient and lacking basic sanitary equipment in Africa, Geberit would strongly benefit from a sustainable investment in sanitary equipment.
